The drug is a depressant that is also taken recreationally for its euphoric effects, including relaxation, tranquility and increase of sensual perceptions. It is known as a "designer" or "club" drug as an alternative to ecstasy or speed. While there are no known cases of using Liquid G as a date-rape drug, the potential exists.
